As the original reporter of this bug, I must say this problem used to pretty
often and randomly. When it did occur, *sometimes* I was able to work around it
by unmaximize the window then move the window around(with my mouse) which would
unlock the keyboard as decribed earlier in the report.

Anyway, I must say as I'm always using the latest stable packages, I haven't
had this issue on 4.4.2 or even 4.4.0. Last time this happened to me must have
been approx 6 months ago.

Not sure if this is still a valid problem with anyone else using 4.4.2 ?
