Summary: Menu editor does not show shortcuts correctly if they
contain a translated key
Product: kmenuedit
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: ralfjung-e at gmx.de
Version: 0.8 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: cc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-21-generic
When I set a shortcut like "Meta+Shift+H" for an application in KMenuEdit, save
and close, and restart the editor, then it shows the shortcut as "Meta+H" -
however, pressing Meta-Shift-H does trigger the desired action (and Meta+H does
not).
I assume this is caused by above shortcut translating to "Meta+Umschalt+H" on
my system (German locale), and KMenuEdit reads this incorrectly. I had exactly
the same issues when dealing with shortcuts and localised key names in a pure
Qt application.
