Try the following:
- Backup your config files under ~/.kde4/share/config.
- Remove your kwin related files from that folder (kwin configuration will
revert to defaults)
- Check if that improve the situation (after restarting KDE)
If it doesn't try removing other files like kdeglobals

- Then you can trying copying back the old config files to the folder (one by
one) and see if that changes anything.
