Same problem here with OpenSUSE 11.1 and KDE 4.3.1. 

I have two shortcuts configured to rotate over the desktops:

CTRL + LEFT to go to the previous desktop
CTRL + RIGHT to go to the next desktop

If I play fast with this shortcuts the problem appears soon.

I was not able to found any workaround to recover the keyboard other than exit
with CTRL + ALT + DEL.

This is a show stop bug. We need a solution to this. KDE is not usable with
this bug.
