plasma-desktop problem confirmed on my system, but less severe:
I have two plasma widgets: A folder view of my home directory, and the analog
clock. The plasma-desktop memory usage grows to 200 MB over about one week.

Dell Latitude D630 with NVidia Quadro NVS 135M
OpenSUSE 11.1 with KDE Factory 4.3.1
Desktop compositing enabled
