What happens (to me) this way is that X (or kwin) has no reliable idea on the
state of the ALT key.
(I.e. when ever I left click a window i'm in moveresize)
Pressing and releasing ALT /once/ safely clears the situation.

Some statistic query:
- who uses "evdev" and who "kbd" as keyboard driver?
- usb vs. ps2 keyboards?
- external global kbd event listeners (sc|kim, xbindkeys)?
- desktop FX (composition), window change effect (flip, coverswitch, present
windows, whatever)
- focus model (click, follow mouse etc)
