Er.. I have also experiencing this bug with the last Xorg updates on ArchLinux
(1.7), and I fixed it disabling the Mouse Gestures on the Input Actions KCM
(System Settings/Input Actions/Settings/Uncheck the Gesture options/Restart) 
- Can you check if this steps fix your bug too ? (so then we can reassign this
to the Gestures manager developer)
