Summary: support for "non-native" screen resolutions
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: peet21 at freestart.hu
Version: (using KDE 4.2.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
I have a laptop with an 1024x768 monitor, and also my video card says that it
supports 1024x768 at maximum. So even if I connect an external monitor with a
higher resolution, I can only use 1024x768, both in Windows and in KDE.
However, in GNOME, I can set it to higher resolutions, and it works finely.
(Also, in Windows there is a registry trick to allow other resolutions). A
similar feature for KDE would be useful.
