Two more ways (actually the only ones for me...) how to trigger this.
At work I have to connect to net via a proxy. If I use Amarok 2.1 (did happen
with 2.0, too) and activate "Automatically fetch cover art", keyboard stops
working as soon as Amarok tries to fetch cover. If I switch to console and kill
Amarok and possibly the kio_http it started, my keyboard starts to work again.
Another way: Start Konqueror and try to browse around the web, again connection
via a proxy. Go to some page which has slowly responding components and see how
your keyboard stops working. Kill Konqueror + kio_http slaves, keyboard starts
to work again.
So maybe this is KIO related issue after all?
I can reliably trigger this bug with both PC-BSD 7.1 + KDE 4.2.2 and Kubuntu
9.04 + KDE 4.2.4 (upgrading to KDE 4.3 beta 2 as we speak).
