hi all.
I'm also experiencing this bug from times to times. Though i'm kinda more lucky
that most of the first reports i've read : after some times (~5minutes) it
works again. I usually try the keyboard a lot so i dont know if waiting without
doing nothing would solve it. I also switch to text mode a lot in this time.

i'm using nvidia drivers, x11-base/xorg-server-1.5.3-r6 and NOT compositing as
it's so buggy with nvidia. I'm currently using kde 4.2.4, though I've had the
bug for quite some time.

As a matter of fact i'm also using Yakuake a lot (some people report make me
think this could be related).

I could not find anything useful in Xorg.0.log or .xsession-errors but in
kdm.log i have lot of lines like:

expected keysym, got dead_currency: line 501 of fr
expected keysym, got dead_belowcomma: line 509 of fr
-------------


i'm happy to help if i can, though i have no idea where to start.
I suspected kxkb as I've had a lot of trouble with it before this. But i have
no argument to support this feeling.
