Summary: suspend to disk powers off the computer in 50% of
attempts
Product: kde
Version: unspecified
Platform: SuSE RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: benderamp at gmail.com
Version: (using KDE 4.2.95)
OS: Linux
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Version 4.2.95 (KDE 4.2.95 (KDE 4.3 RC1)) "release 139"
I usually switch off the computer by selecting "suspend to disk" option. After
upgrading kde 4 to 4.3 rc1 this stopped being stable.
Now when after switching off the comp with "suspend to disk" after switching it
on again system starts to boot as if I powered it off - I receive kdm login
screen instead of locked kde session. This happens not always, but very often.
I did not have this problem before - even with earlier kde 4.3 releases, so I'm
sure this is kde problem.
I'm not sure at which moment the problem occurs - I have 2 variants:
1. Suspend to disk at some moment fails and the comp is powered off
2. Suspend to disk finishes ok, but while switching on, restoring kde session
fails and it falls back to kdm.
