I'm not sure about the program. I had gnome installed and the only thing I did
was install the kubuntu desktop from synaptic. I have since figured out a
temporary solution. I figured out how to changed my resolution (not through
xserver nividia) but by display settings. When I restart it still shows up in
2720x1024. which obviously isn't supported by my 17in laptop.
