Summary: Won't Sleep/Suspend to RAM
Product: kde
Version: 4.2.2
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
ReportedBy: bryanbankester at gmail.com
Version: (using KDE 4.2.2)
Compiler: gcc version 4.3.3 Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
When I click Sleep/Suspend to RAM, a black screen appears with a blinking
cursor in the top left corner. The computer keeps roaring, and the black screen
with the blinking cursor does not go away. No key I've found will allow me to
exit this screen, so I always have to reach down and press the restart button
on the computer. I used to not have this problem putting Kubuntu to sleep each
night. I'm using Kubuntu Jaunty AMD64 and 2.6.28-13-generic.
