Summary: Most multimedia / extended keys still not handled
           Product: systemsettings
           Version: 4.1
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: neoclust at mandriva.org

Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

KDE 4.2 implements support for volume control multimedia keys, which is an
improvement on 4.1. Volume up, down and mute keys now all work.

However, all other multimedia keys still do nothing. The most important are the
media control keys - play, forward, back, pause, stop - but there are also the
others, like 'launch a browser'.

These were handled by KMilo in KDE 3.5 and continue to be handled correctly in
GNOME and Xfce. KDE 4 should handle them correctly. Users expect this to work.
