Summary: cannot assign Shift+Multimadiakey (like "Forward")
                    global shortcut anymore
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: grosser.meister.morti at gmx.net

Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Fedora RPMs

In KDE 3.5 I could assign a special multimedia key to a global shortcut and
Shift+the same key to another one. Now I tried to do the same in KDE 4.2
(Forward = next song in amarok, Shift+Forward = seek forward in current song)
but it doesn't work. KDE does not recognize Shift+Forward as a different key
combination as just Forward.

Note: The Forward key is meant to be used with webbrowsers and is automatically
assigned to the forward action in konqueror. However, this is not useful so I
reassigned it.

I use a neat "Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000 v1.0". I disabled keyboard
layouts, but enabling them and choosing the right (or a similar) keyboard from
the list changes nothing. (Do you need to restart X to make such settings
effective?)

This feature of KDE 3 was yet another feature I used to show off in front of
friends to show them how cool KDE is. Yet another feature that KDE 4 does not
support any more. :( (like the awesome print dialog of KDE 3.)
