Currently grouping is set on an individual basis on the taskbar, there is no
option to turn it off globally as there was in KDE 3.5. Turning it off for each
and every application (as I do not wish to use this feature) is both time
wasting and annoying.

Would be extremely grateful if an option could be provided to turn it off once
and for all.
