the double click preferences is for ICONS 

will you force people to double click everywhere?

why isn't the doubleclick preference used everywhere then? such as the kmenu ?
buttons, etc?

selecting multiple items in the system settings it meaning less.
right click does nothing. therefor there is only one action possible related to
a click. open the damn thing.
