Summary: KDE startup hangs intermittently for long periods
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: RedHat RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: fred_wells at charter.net

Version: (using KDE 4.2.0)
OS: Linux
Installed from: RedHat RPMs

KDE intermittenly hangs during startup for long periods of time. Sometimes
several minutes. This may be caused by poorly written plasmoids/widgets
blocking during initialization - but I'm guessing here. Whether or not this is
true, KDE/plasma needs to be able to successfully start independantly of poor
plasmoid/widget behavior.
