1. Kde uses too much ram. I am not able to let 3 different users at once be
logged in and switch between them. I have 756mb ram. That was always more than
sufficient for kde 3.5. But now it is barely enough to let 1 user work normally
(a second one can  (though KDE 4.2.2 crashes sometimes then). It seems not to
give back all of the memory it used, when a user logged out.

2. I have a XP 1800+ with a Nvidia TI4200. But KDE feels sluggish sometimes
(browsing with dolphin etc.). If more than only a few programs are running
(web-browser, downloads, amarok) the gui becomes slow. In kde 3.5 it was very
hard (next to impossible) to slow the UI down. I think it is related to the low
memory problem somehow.

Bottom line:

Please be more resources friendly. Don't forget that KDE4 has someday to become
the standard Desktop for NETBOOKS!

Thanks for all of your great work. I just love KDE (using it since kde 1) - and
especially KDE 4 .
