Summary: keyboard stops working in kde
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: Divan.Santana at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.1.1)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

This is probably the worst bug I have come across for the KDE/Linux platform.

Every now and then the Keyboard just stops working.

Control+alt+f2(etc) still work, takes me to a terminal, but the KDE interface
is completely not responsive to any keyboard presses.

The mouse still works fine, just not the keyboard. It seems to happen very
randomly and its very difficult to see whats causing this problem.

I am prepared to help fix this bug, if someone can help me troubleshoot this.

There is no way(I know of), to recover from this bug other then to
control+alt+backspace(restart X) or switch to another user, or log out and log
in.

Perhaps this is caused from xorg? Or is this a KDE bug or a nvidia proprietary
driver bug? I think its some sort of KDE bug.

Please help, two of my colleagues also has this bug once in a while.
Amarok seems to cause this bug to happen more often, but even when amarok is
not running or in use, this bug still happens once in a while.
