Likewise. I adjust the Volume and Duration, click Apply, and the configuration
the .kde/share/config/kcmbellrc file continues to show proper (updated)
settings every time I do this (which is EVERY time I log in!), but the desired
System Bell ACTION lasts only as long as my current session. The next time I
log in, the SETTINGS in the kcmbellrc file are still correct from when I set
them before, but they are completely ignored. Then I must use "kcmshell bell"
or Kcontrol/Bell again, and I see that all of Bell's settings have reverted
back to their old, unwanted defaults. How do I tell KDE or get KDE to use *MY*
values as the new defaults?
