Summary: Keyboard gets sponteously unresponsive after today's
                    update (12 Nov. 2008)
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: hbarmeter76 at gmail.com

Version: (using KDE 4.1.2)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

After the most recent update of today (perhaps yesterday), stating November 12
2008, using KDE 4.1.2 on a T61, I do experience complete keyboard lockups where
many keys simply do not work. However, switching to TTY using ctrl+alt+f5 works
and switch back to KDE's terminal makes the keyboard responsive again, but only
remedies the situation at times. The mouse is still working normally.

Unfortunately, this happens spontaneously, and I do not know how to reproduce
this problem. Since I can still switch terminals, it appears that KDE is stuck
in some loop, but waiting for half a minute didn't help much, so I always tried
to press ctrl+alt+f5 before
