I'm reporting this because I miss the thumbnail view in file dialogs from the 3.x series :(
KDE 4 has the "Show preview" option which allows to preview images selected, one by one. Although that's better than nothing it's still far away in usability compared to the Thumbnail view where you can spot the image you want to select without having to hover them one by one.

3.x have this option as well as other desktop environments from other SOs so I think this is a must.
