Summary: desktop backgrounds mixed when on on three and more
                    screens
           Product: kdesktop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Ubuntu Packages
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: steve szmidt org

Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
Compiler: Ubuntu 4.2.3-2ubuntu7
OS: Linux

When using three or more screens the 1st screen gets an overlay from each additional screen background onto itself as soon as the desktop is fully painted after login.

I have three screens: Screen0 is 3840x1200 from a twinview of two 1920x1200.
Screen1 is 1280x1024 and screen2 is 1440x900.

Screen0 will get the default desktop from screen 1 and 2 the moment it has completed drawing screen0. All icons in place and so on.

I thought it was the nVidia driver, but since it only appears the moment KDE desktop is done painting the desktops I'm guessing it's KDE. It's almost as if they were sharing desktop buffers.

I managed to get rid of the additional backgrounds by renaming the .kde directory and let it make a new one. However nVidia's has a configuration tool which identifies each screen. That number is drawn in the middle of each screen.

It identifies the center of screen 1 and 2 as being in the middle of where the two desktops of screen 1 and 2 where painted, on the left monitor of screen0.
