ad.#1.1) the timeout should be configurable with option "never" (never autoclose+autosave). The issue is you cannot predict what caused a crash, some data can be lost (content of the clipboard for example), the document you are looking at. I personally would rather spend some time without worrying about auto-close and find out more if I can really safely turn off computer with this crash
