Summary: "Add" button missing from the "File Associations -
                    System Settings" dialog box
           Product: kdesktop
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs kde org
        ReportedBy: mstefan cs toronto edu

Version: (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

Regarding the "Configure Desktop" -> "Advanced" -> "File Associations" dialog box. There seems to be no way to define NEW mime types.

According to the documentation (click help on this dialog box):

"Adding a new mime type

If you want to add a new MIME type to your file associations, you can click on the Add... button. A small dialog box will appear. You select the category from the drop down box, and type the MIME name in the blank labeled Type name. Click OK to add the new mime type, or click Cancel to not add any new mime-types."

Unfortunately, no such "Add" button seems to be present on the dialog box. Clicking an existing mime type does bring about two "Add.." buttons, but the purpose of those is to define new extensions and applications for an EXISTING MIME type.

Hope I didn't miss anything,
Stefan.
