The traditional kmenu is covering the kicker plasmoid, i know this also happens on kde3 but if kde4 want to become (more)esthetically improved would be a good idea fix this. 
This can be annoying if you got a IM message and your messenger taskbar entry is blinking, but you don't see it due the menu covering it, just an example of integration bug.
