           Summary: Device notifications in KDE
           Product: kde
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Compiled Sources
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs at kde.org
        ReportedBy: ziom_d at interia.pl

Version: (using Devel)
Compiler: CMake 2.6
OS: Linux
Installed from: Compiled sources

KDE4 has now a nice device notifier applet, but it shows only devices such usb
storage, optical drivers, etc. KDE should have a possibility to inform user
about all kind of devices that has been connected to the computer. I.e when i
plugg in my printer and turn it on, KDE should inform me that the printer was
found, and should ask me if i want to install drivers (if needed) or configure
the printer to work. Also other devices like mobile phones, digital cameras,
webcams, etc. should be handle by this. KDE needs this feature. Now when i
plugg in my digi cam nothings happens and i don't know if KDE 'sees' it.

I really hope KDE will have such feature.
