Kde should have some intrinsic on-panel lightweighted cpu/RAM monitor. The
System Monitor on KDE 4.1 seems to consume quite a high amount of CPU (10 % of
my 1,5 GHz) itself.
On windows, you have this lightweighted monitor on panel by hitting alt ctrl
del, then task manager, then minimize
there was somethin like that in kde 3, but in kde 4.1 it seems to be absent
