Summary: No copy/paste of desktop icons
Product: kdesktop
Version: unspecified
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: unassigned-bugs kde org
ReportedBy: sgrintad yahoo com
Version: (using KDE 4.0.3)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
When operating with files on the desktop, there are no copy/paste operations to be found in the right click menus. So, for instance, it is not possible to make an additional copy of a file on the desktop, or use these menus to copy a file in konqueror/dolphin and paste it to the desktop, or cut it.
You can drag a file out of dolphin/konqueror onto the desktop, but the very same file cannot be dragged back, it simply goes beneath the window you try to drag it to. This leaves files "stranded" on the desktop if you use it as a temporary holding area.
