The representation of "toggle" actions has changed in KDE 4, and in fact, not all applications have adjusted to this, yet. This is easy to fix in each inidividual case, but it can't just be fixed globally. There, what we really need is information on where exactly (which apps) you still find the wrong behavior.

I've fixed some occurences of this in kate just a few days ago (which might have been your examples?). If you are aware of further apps with this problem, please list them.
