Issue with saving in Umbrello

Hi,

I have started to try Umbrello for creating UML diagrams and I find it
quite convenient and sufficient for my purposes. Although I can create my
diagrams, I am unable to save the files. Attempting to save gives the
following error:

Save Error - Umbrello UML Modeller

There was a problem saving: <path to file>


This is hurting my efforts and I have to look at alternatives if this
cannot be resolved. Please let me know how I can help debug/fix this.
