As it stands, the Z-order is not saved in the XMI file, so adjustments do not
persist across a save/load cycle. An extension would be necessary to address
this. Furthermore, some form of normalization of Z-values is needed, as they
otherwise become increasingly larger with repeated use. If you search for
`setZValue()` in the source code, you’ll find several places that contain
special handling of Z-values. Furthermore, there are widgets that must always
be “on top,” such as text, or always at the bottom; this means an initial
analysis is needed to determine how Z-values are handled in each case, followed
by a design specifying how Z-values should be managed for each widget.
