Umbrello assotiation widgets

Hello,

I have been looking into the strange way associations are drawn when
moving a widget (e.g. class). The assosiation ends don't follow the
widget nicely.

I have been studying associationwidget.cpp but can't really figure out
how it works.

Is there a design document from this part of the code. And if so where
can i find it?
If there is no design document, can anyone tell me how it works?
