There are related bug reports, for example
https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-30276, but this one is already included
in the Qt 4.8.6
(http://code.qt.io/cgit/qt/qt.git/commit/src/gui/kernel/qwidget_win.cpp?h=v4.8.6&id=a9edbeddafe5d8866192de44f4028d07bd93013a),
which used to build the umbrello windows package
(https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=windows%3Amingw%3Awin32&package=mingw32-libqt4). 
As the bug could also be reproduced on linux, this seems to be a generic Qt4
problem.
