 well, as you may have noticed almost all umbrello files have "Umbrello UML 
Modeller Authors <uml-devel at uml.sf.net>" in place of what you mentioned.
Maybe it's because umbrello has seen a lot of hit and run developers :)

I don't know how the solution you propose will fit in. :)
