Summary: Suggestions for improved state diagrams
Product: umbrello
Version: 1.3.1
Platform: Debian testing
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: umbrello-devel.kde.org
ReportedBy: reach.blystak web de
Version: 1.3.1 (using KDE KDE 3.3.1)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux
1)
It should be possible to chose a method (created in the class diagram) as the name of a state transition. It is annoying to rewrite everything twice. Example picture can be found here:
https://p15161566.pureserver.info/uml/05/Girokonto_Zustandsdiagramm05.png
2)
There should be a symbol for condition forks shown at the top left and center of the example picture.
3)
To be discussed: A state could have more than one state transition pointing on itself. I don't know what UML says but that could come in handy.
3)
It would be really nice and innovative if state transitions support e.g. OCL (as shown in the picture). The next step (a huge one ;-) ) would be code generation of the OCL. AFAIK MS Visio supports adding various language statements (OCL , C#, etc.) but does no code generation nor syntax checks.
