I haven't seen 8859-2 mentioned in the JPilot sources, where I usually look 
for hints on encodings (only since last week, though). What you can do with a 
recent KPilot (_very_ recent. Either CVS HEAD or KPilot tarballs from the 
KPilot website) is add a line
	Encoding=ISO8859-2
to your kpilotrc near the top, and it should work. Please also look at the 
comments for bug 52138. If you send me a database and some screenshots then i 
can check the behavior for you and add the 8859-2 encoding to KPilot as well.
