The patch was attached to my mail of 10/22/2002 (sf is down 
unfortunately I can't give the link into the archive).
As I said to Luis, I'll check for both version of RH.

Maybe just make sure that all the messages are actually 
internationalized. In this case, even after the release, adding a 
translation would be a matter of writing a new po file, no source needs 
changing.
