Ubuntu and updates

Hello,
I'm new here, and not very technical. I've installed the 3.5.3 version on my Ubuntu 24.04 computer some time ago and picked it up again to manage my art collection. And everything works fine.
Now I see that there are newer versions of Tellico, but they don't work on my Ubuntu version.
Do I miss some interesting or critical functionality?
Will there be a possibility to install newer versions of Tellico on "older" (well sort of...) versions of Ubuntu?
