Hidden files?

Good afternoon. Was just looking through my Tellico files, and noticed 
there are many hidden files in the directory where I save my library 
files. Are these versioned backups of some kind? I see filenames like 
".xdp-manga library.tc~.QuLlto-Lgk2pM" and many like this. Opening them 
in Ark shows they look like old Tellico files. I have the option to save 
all the library images in the .tc file enabled btw. Just wondered what 
these are. Thanks!
