Hang using UPC

So I am trying to scan a CD barcode (using my USB serial port scanner -
basically a keyboard emulator that pastes the numbers as if typing in
when it scans the barcode). I go back and just plain old trying to type
in the CD barcode in the UPC/EAN lookup lineedit. In any case, a small
window opens up and just hangs there my Tellico session. I have to force
quit, losing work.

I have enabled a bunch of QT/KDE debug settings and have traced it down
to the following errors (see below) right before the application hangs.
I have v4l2 installed (libv4l2-0-1.30.1-160000.2.2.x86_64).

Upon reading the compile instructions when I saw that if you want to
scan barcodes using a webcam, you must enable/have v4l2. Seems like this
was compiled in by my vendor (OpenSuSE 16.0) and I don't need it have it
activated. How do I (on command line/env var) disable this v4l2 feature
when using UPC? Is there a setting in Tellico configuration that I can
disable webcam completely.
