Tellico hangs often

Hi, I have a large collection of movies, many of which need to be updated. Unfortunately, Tellico hangs often. I could be updating a couple or many movies. I know updates can take some time, but Tellico drops down from the list of active processes (top).

Here is some command-line output (Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa):

$ tellico
