Can't link the .so library of taglib to my own program, please help me!

Can I get some help with the taglib-devel libary? 
If this is not the right place to request assistence, I'm sorry.
But can anyone feed me with some leads on how to get help with the compling? (sepcifically, to link the library into my main program)
