Version and multithread support

Hi,

I want to know the version of taglib-git. How can I find it ? When
compiled, it creates libtag.so.1.12.0. Is the version 1.12 now ?

Can taglib now be used in a multiple threads "simultaneously" ? I could not
infer this from the changelog/NEWS but
https://github.com/echonest/echoprint-codegen/issues/12 mentions the
latest-git does multithreading properly.
