[PATCH] Support building documentation out-of-source-tree

Hello,

the attached patch (against 1.7) adds support for building documentation for 
the out-of-source-tree builds. Since the 'docs' target is only available in 
the builddir (where Makefile is created), this is necessary for it to work in 
out-of-source-tree mode. A workaround would be running doxygen directly in the 
source dir but it's suboptimal.
