number of opened files

Hi taglib developpers.

I am not subscribe to the list. Please cc me on your respond.

I am aware of this dicussion http://lists.kde.org/?t=116760880200002&r=1&w=2 .
Apparently on linux , we can only  keep opened only a certain number
of file per process (1024).
When that limit is reach, taglib_file_new function does not return NULL.
Can this point be changed ?

I use the taglib (1.6.3) C binding via ruby.
