Taglib 2-year anniversary coming up

Hello,

Thanks for a great tag library!

I noticed that the 2 year anniversary for the current release is coming up in 
a little more than a month.

In these two years, a lot of useful patches and updates have been committed, 
but as no release has been done, quite a few distributions are still using 
the near two-year-old version.

Is there any chance or hope that some of the progress made over the past two 
years might see a public release anytime soon, or would someone mind sharing 
some light on the release process?

Thanks in advance for any insight, and apologies offered if this is considered 
nagging.
