m4a tagging support?

First of all, I'd like to thank all who contributed to taglib, I think
it's a great lib!

Now, is there any news regarding m4a tag support in taglib? I haven't
heard about it for months and suppose it is not going to be in the
upcoming 1.5 release, sadly. Is the patch to introduce it still
read-only at present?

Adding m4a tagging support would make the great taglib even greater. I
know quite a few developers would like to be able to use the clean
approach of taglib for m4a as well. Especially since it reliefs them
from having to use clunky external libs just for a single format and
would be great for making taglib the 'One-stop Tagging Solution' (tm).
;-) It seems even the guys over at Songbird are discussing switching to
taglib http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show_bug.cgi?id=800 .

I can imagine the cold feet due to some earlier standard-disputes but
most appear to have been settled by now. Especially now the rather nasty
moov/mdat atoms row is over and agreement seems to be to place the moov
atom before the mdat atom (This prevents big compatibility issues with
existing players and devices who need this order). Standards issues
aren't so big as they once were.

Any reflections on this? Need any help from the community? Need testers?
:-)
