Which version of R is this? I could not reproduce right now with R 2.6.1,
neither using my own build from master nor the AppImage.

Your traces show the point of failure quite clearly, but the question is how
and when we arrived at a broken representation, here. Do you see the created
option showing up the the Workspace Browser, before trying to remove it?
